This week’s challenge gets underway as the teams arrive at the YMCA University of NSW pool to see ten treadmills lined up. The winner is the last person left standing.
This week kicks off with all of the eliminated contestants returning to weigh-in, and one lucky player getting the chance to return to the competition. Then it’s off to a grueling kettle bell beach challenge that promises the winning player a hefty prize. Fan favorite and former “Biggest Loser” contestant Abby Rike pays a visit to the ranch and inspires the players with her own “Second Chance” story. Later, the contestants head to the race track for words of encouragement and a fun workout with popular NASCAR driver Carl Edwards. Then one player reaches “One-derland” at the weigh-in and another is sent home before host Alison Sweeney gives the remaining contestants some very exciting news.
The teams are dissolved, and the 10 remaining players compete in an endurance challenge before a double elimination takes place. Meanwhile, the trainers work out with different contestants; and a player struggles with negative thoughts
Allison greets the contestants in a diner and informs them that they’ll be competing in a pop trivia challenge. The losing team members will have to work in the diner for the entire week while maintaining their rigorous workout regimen. At the end of the quiz, the White Team comes up short. The Red and Blue Teams are relieved, but unfortunately the White Team will have to work the entire week in the diner.
Host Alison Sweeney kicks off this week’s episode with a shocker – one of the contestants is going home and taking their trainer with them, and their weight will be the only weight that counts for their team when they return in time for the weigh-in. A simple spin of the wheel determine who will be chosen among the players, who would love to reunite with loved ones but are understandably anxious about the intense pressure they’ll face trying to lose enough weight to keep their whole team safe another week. Meanwhile, one trainer brings their contestant back to a sport they once loved, and two players celebrate milestones at the weigh-in before another contestant is sent home
A Halloween challenge tasks the contestants to race through a field of 100 pumpkins filled with candy, cash and one ticket that awards immunity to the finder’s entire team. Also: A trainer brings in a special group for workouts; a contestant opens up about a challenging childhood; and the players receive motivational letters from home.
